Golf Courses & Rules

We shall be playing some classic seaside link courses:

Thursday: Royal Cromer

Royal Cromer was originally designed by famous course architect Tom Morris of St Andrews.Over the years cliff falls and vegetation growth watered down many of the aspects of the original layout. A restoration programme is now in place to re-introduce these key ingredients from Old Tom's minimalist design principles:

Friday: Sheringham

Tom Dunn completed the design and construction of the initial nine holes by September 1891

Saturday: Royal West Norfolk

Royal West Norfolk Golf Club (or 'Brancaster', as it is often referred to) was founded in 1892, and the course laid out by Mr Holcombe Ingleby. There has been little alteration to Ingleby's design, and many of the original holes are still played today.

Please note that the club is inaccessible at high tide; it is advisable to check the tide times before visiting.

Sunday: Hustanton

Hunstanton Golf Club was founded in 1891. The course has undergone extensive redevelopment over the past five years under the guidance of Martin Hawtree.
